This weekend, Rhodes softball added a 10-foot crushed redrock warning track to the Rhodes Softball outfield, part of an ongoing process of upgrading the softball facilities. Earlier this Summer, 75 tons of red clay infield mix was added to the infield and laser-graded, and along with the warning track are pieces of a larger, planned renovation that includes a new backstop, grandstands, and a press box among other amenities. All aspects of the project are being funded through private donations, and fundraising efforts are still underway to move forward with the renovations. Anyone interested in contributing to the project should contact Coach Hicks.
