Rhodes Soccer Announces 2012 Pre-Season European Tour
to Germany and Austria
The men's soccer program will make its 7th International Soccer Pre-Season Tour August 2-13 this year. The team will be based in Obertraun, Austria for training camp and will also spend several days in Munich, Germany and Salzburg, Austria. Rhodes will play 3-4 friendly matches as they prepare for the 2012 season, the Inaugural SAA season. The NCAA permits Division III teams to travel abroad once every three years, allowing members of each class the opportunity to make a trip during their four years at Rhodes. The men's soccer team made the College's first International sports trip in 1993 to the Czech Republic. Other tour's were made in 1996 to Belgium, Germany and Holland, 1999 to Germany and Austria, 2002 to Germany, Austria and Hungary , 2006 to Germany, and 2009 to Germany, Austria and the Slovak Republic .
