For the fourth time in five years the Lynx field hockey team earns the National Field Hockey Coaches Association's National Academic Team Award.  To qualify for the award a team must achieve a fall semester average GPA of at least 3.0.  This season the Lynx had their best performance in the program's 12 year history on and off the field amassing a 13-4 record while compiling a 3.37 average GPA.  The NFHCA also sponsors a National Academic Squad, to which individual players who maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or better are selected.  This season a record 11 Lynx are named to the squad including 4 time selection Kristen Lee.  Kristen is joined on the squad by Lucy Bell, Carolyn Drobak, Libby Feaster, Sarah Ferguson, Lindsey Gurkovich, Sarah Kennedy, Chelsea McLeod, Kelly Prak, Hillary Relyea, and Jordan Robinson.  The Lynx look towards the 2010 season with much excitement and hope to improve upon their 2009 performances on the field and in the classroom.
