The Rhodes College Athletics Department held its annual Athletics Banquet Wednesday night, April 28, in which each sport is recognized and awards are given for both athletic and academic achievments. It is an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of these student-athletes as they've balanced inter-collegiate competition with a rigorous academia. Each sport announces its MVP, and for Men's Soccer, it was no surprise when Logan Eberly's name was called. Logan has been an integral part of the program for four years, amassing a total of 38 goals (third all-time for Rhodes during SCAC play) as the leading goal scorer in each of his four years. This season, he was named to the All-Conference team for a third time in his career and was the SCAC Offensive Player of the Week for the week of October 26 - November 1. In addition, Logan was named the Rhodes College Student-Athlete of the Month for October of 2009 and was chosen for the SCAC All-Sportsmanship team. Head Coach Andy Marcinko had nothing but praises for Logan: "Logan is one of the most committed and dedicated student-athletes I have ever come across...He finishes his career ranked in the top 10 of nine all-time career statistical categories...[and] Logan is living proof that an ordinary person can achieve extraordinarily."
