The Rhodes Men's Golf Team captured 2nd place at the Calloway Collegiate Classic golf tournament being held at Calloway Gardens, GA.  In a driving, freezing rain the Lynx shot  313 for the 2nd 18 to go with their first round score of 300 to post a 613 total.  Methodist, the #1 ranked team in Division III, shot 297-302=599 to win the championship.  Rhodes defeated #5 Oglethorpe, the defending D3 national champion, as well as Huntingdon (#3) and Emory (#7).

"The conditions today were about as bad as I've ever seen," said Bill Cochran, Rhodes head coach.  "But our players scored well considering the conditions.  There's no question playing practice rounds in Memphis the past two weeks where it has been cold and wet really helped our players perform."

Bill Bazzel, sophomore from the Lovett School in Atlanta, shot 74-77=151 to lead the Lynx.
Other Lynx scores:
Doug Gordon, 75-77=152
Farrell Diliberto, 75-79=154
Scott Wallace, 76-80=156
Shay Womack, 77-79=156
Greg Bolwell, 79-80=159
