A disappointing final round of 308 dropped Rhodes to a 3rd place finish in the Birmingham Southern Shootout played at the Robert Trent Jones – Valley Course in Birmingham, AL.
“Being tied for the lead with the #1 ranked team in the country, Huntingdon, after the first two rounds gave us a great opportunity to do something special in the final round, but we just didn't get the job done. Our players are disappointed, but we've proved in our first two tournament we can play with the best teams in the country," said Coach Cochran. “ We have a good, solid team, and the next time we are in a position to win a big tournament, you will see a different result!”
Sophomore Shay Womack finished tied for 3rd with scores of 74-71-78 = 223.
