CONGRATS TO KAPPA SIGMA, 2015-2016 GREEK LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!!
Greek life can be very competitive at Rhodes, especially among campus groups and organizations. To enhance the experience, intramurals offers special recognition to the Greek organization, male or female, with the best participation, sportsmanship and win/loss record in all offered events!
This past year, it was Kappa Sigma which chased down and captured the Greek Cup Championship. In a recent ceremony the highly sought after trophy was presented to Harrison Leeson, Kappa Sigma's intramural chair. In recent years, no organization has been able to repeat as campus champions, a trend Kappa Sigma will no doubt be looking to change!
How to Win the Greek Cup:
Greek Cup: Ponts are awarded to Greek organization for their participation and successful completions of intramural activities.
5 points - Finish the season as Champions
4 points - Finish a season in the Championship Game
3 points - Finish a season with a +.500 record and no forfeits
2 points - Finish a season with no forfeits
1 point - Participation
End of the Year BONUS POINTS
3 points - Fielding a team in every sport offered
3 points - Fielding a team in every weekend event
5 points - Win a weekend event (per each event won)
Sportsmanship
No one enjoys losing, but accepting defeat with dignity and maturity is an essential part of life.
- 5 points - Have a game cancelled due to poor sportsmanship by participants or supporters
- 4 points - Have a participant or a supporter removed/kicked out of an event
- 3 points - Have a game momentarily suspended due to poor sportsmanship by participants or supporters
- 2 points - Have a participant or supporter recieve a Technical Foul for poor sportsmanship
- 1 point - Record more than 1 forfiet in a season
