Birmingham Southern shot a sizzling 54.5% from three point land for the game and held on to beat Rhodes 78-62 in a SCAC Game played in Birmingham, AL on January 8th. Rhodes was led by freshman guard Sarah Johnson (Little Rock, AR) who scored a team high 14 points, pulled down 6 rebounds and dished out 4 assists.
    Rhodes jumped out to a 31-26 lead with 2:28 to play in the first half. However, the Panthers went on a 9-0 run to end the half up 35-31. Birmingham shot 50.9% from the field for the game and connected on 12 of 22 three point field goals.
    Lynx senior forward Sharwil Bell (Memphis, TN) added 11 points and junior center Mary Barber (St. Louis, MO) scored a season high 10 points. Rhodes falls to 8-5 on the year and will face the University of Dallas next Friday, January 13th, in Irving, TX.
