Stephanie Mingos, a junior from Mission Hills, KS (Pembroke Hill) was selected to play in her 3rd consecutive NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championship. The 2010 tournament will be held at the Mission Inn and Resort in Howey-in-Hills, Florida, about 45 minutes north of Orlando. Stephanie's selection to the NCAA field comes on the heals of her victory at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship weekend before last at Stone Mountain, GA.
"What an accomplishment for Stephanie to participate in this year's NCAA tournament," said Lynx coach
Mike Clary. "Stephanie was injured in the fall and didn't swing a golf club for three months. She worked extremely hard from January-March, but struggled with her swing until mid-March. Since her win at the William Woods Owl Classic on March 29-30, Stephanie has been one of the hottest players in the nation at the NCAA Division III level."
Stephanie earned 1st-Team All American honors with a 5th place finish in the 2008 championship. She finished 12th out of the 106 player field in 2009.
