Rhodes Tennis Finishes 2-1 at the UT Tyler Invitational

The men continued their upward climb in the rankings by defeating UT Tyler and Luther College in Tyler, Texas.  Both matches finished 5-4.  Against UT Tyler, the win at #2 doubles provided the Lynx with at 1-2 match score moving into singles.  Sophomore, Morgan Slevin and freshman, Sanders Phelps secured the doubles point.  The Lynx secured wins at #2 (Ryley Erhardt), #3 (Morgan Slevin), and #4 (Tyler Snedden), and #5 (Grayson Lucas) resulting in the 5-4 victory.

On Friday, the men faced Luther College and another 5-4 victory.  Once again, #3 doubles (Slevin/Phelps) gave the Lynx a 1-2 match score with singles to follow.  Wins at #2 (Ryley Erhardt), #3 (Morgan Slevin), #4 (Tyler Snedden), and #6 (Sanders Phelps) secured the over-all victory.

Saturday, the men lost a 6-3 match to conference opponent Trinity University.  Trinity dominated in doubles with 3 wins going into singles.  The Lynx fought back with wins at #3 (Morgan Slevin), #4 (Tyler Snedden), and at #5 (Grayson Lucas).  The match came down to 3 set losses at #1 (Jonathon Moreno), #2 (Ryley Erhardt), and at #6 (Sanders Phelps.)
