The Rhodes College Athletics Department held its annual Athletics Banquet Wednesday night, April 28, in which each sport is recognized and awards are given for both athletic and academic achievments. It is an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of these student-athletes as they've balanced inter-collegiate competition with a rigorous academia. Each sport announces its MVP, and for Women's Soccer, Becca Clarin was the one chosen by her teammates for the second year in a row. As the program's first and only All-American, Becca has had an amazing four years at Rhodes College, and this year was no exception. Her hard work and commitment to athletics helped her come back from ACL surgery fitter than ever before. As a captain, Becca was a leader both on and off the field and was crucial in helping a very young team gain the experiences they will need to win another conference championship. For Becca's performance this year, she was named First-Team All-Conference. In addition to excelling on the pitch, Becca is also a major asset to the Women's Basketball team, serving as a two-year captain for the squad.
