After 18 holes Stephanie Mingos' 79 (par 74) leads the SCAC tournament by one stroke over Kristin Davenport from Southwestern and Whitney Miller from Centre. Centre shot 341 to lead the team competition and Rhodes shot 349 to stand in 4th place. "Stephanie hit the ball really well, but she had some tough breaks with a few lies behind trees," said Coach Clary. "Stonemont is a very tough golf course. Our players are very excited about being in the hunt for the team title."
The Lynx men's golf team shot 310 and stand 3 shots off the lead. Bill Bazzel and Scott Wallace shot 76 and stand three strokes off the lead. "We're in great position to challenge for the SCAC title. Our players know we left some shots out on the course," said Bill Cochran, the Lynx men's golf coach. "We're excited about our opportunity in the 2nd round."
