The Lynx departed Memphis after the last Wednesday afternoon class and began their trek to Stone Mountain, GA where they will compete in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament April 23-25.  "The SCAC tournament is the culmination of the season for each team.  Only a handful of players get to participate in the NCAA tournament in May," said Coach Clary.

After a quick stop for dinner at Chic-fil-A in Birmingham, the team arrived in downtown Atlanta with enough time to stop at the world famous Varsity restaurant, known for it's great hot dogs.  "No one was real hungry, but the players had fun reading about the Varsity and having our picture taken by one of the staff," said Coach Clary.

The SCAC tournament is a 54 hole event.  Maddie Callis, a senior from Columbia, MO, will be playing in her 4th and last SCAC tournament.   "Maddie has worked very hard this spring with her game.  I'm certain it will pay off this weekend," said Coach Clary.
