Maddie Callis arrived to Rhodes in August, 2006 from HIckman High School in Columbia, MO. "I had just assumed the Head Women's Golf coaching duties in the summer, 2006 and I called Maddie to inquire about her interest in playing on the golf team," said Lynx coach
Mike Clary. "Our women's golf program was in the midst of a rebuilding phase and we needed players to field a team. Maddie has been a mainstay for our program the past four years."
"With a thin roster in the spring, 2007, I asked Maddie to ask around in the first-year class to see if anyone was interested in joining the team. Maddie recruited
Catherine Casey (Birmingham, AL; Mountain Brook HS) to join the team, and what a joy it has been having Catherine on the team," said Coach Clary.
"In the past four years Catherine and Maddie have traveled to Pebble Beach, CA, Santa Rosa Beach, FL, Jekyll Island, GA, Orange Lake Resort near Orlando, and among other fabulous destinations, Fulton, MO and Tunica, MS," said Coach Clary. "We've sure had a blast the past four years. We'll miss our Maddie and Catherine."
