The Rhodes College swim team participated in a swim meet this past weekend to cap off their winter training this season. The previous week the team spent quality time together in Florida battling through below freezing temperatures, swimming two times every day. Though physically broken, the team rose up to compete against multiple division one teams this past weekend in Tunica. Though exhausted, several swimmers posted stellar swims. Kelly Helvenston posted a lifetime best in the 200 backstroke, Erik Campbell produced a solid 100 flystyle. Laura Hofto won her heat in the 200 breastroke with another season best. But the star of the meet was Kristen Griffin posting a blazing 59.95 in the 100 freestyle. The team continues to train with an eye towards conference.
