Mingos tied for 13th after 3rd round of NCAA tournament

Stephanie Mingos, sophomore from Mission Hills, KS, selected as SCAC Golfer of the Week
Stephanie Mingos shot an 85 (45-40) in the 3rd round of the 2009 NCAA tournament and is tied for 13th in a field of 111 players.  The wind picked up at the Wanamaker course at PGA Village and the scoring average for the field was the highest for the three days of play.

The Student Athlete Advisory Committee has named junior Chris Conkell as the Student Athlete of the Month for April.
 
The Lynx starting catcher managed a .458 batting average (22/48), 12 RBIs and 10 runs scored during the month of April. Durning this time, Conkell harnessed a 13 game hitting streak, hitting safely in every game for the month.
 
He was also named to the SCAC All-Tournament team after his performance in the conference tournament. His batting average of .412, 5 RBIs and 5 runs scored in the tournament led him to be one of three players who were unanimous selections to the team.

The Student Athlete Advisory Committee has named junior Stephanie Mingos as the Student Athlete of the Month for April.
 
In the last month, Mingos put together an impressive campaign, winning three of her last four tournaments.  Her most recent victory came at the SCAC Championships, where Mingos captured Rhodes' first SCAC individual title since 2002, winning by a 6 stroke deficit over several of the nation's top players.
 
Her three day total of 14 over par is a new SCAC record, topping the previous mark of 17 over par by three-time SCAC champion Marisa Mauldin of Southwestern. Mingos' performance earned her first team All-SCAC and SCAC Player of the Year honors.
