Women's track places 5th of 11 teams at Sewanee Indoor Invitational

Nine sprinters, jumpers competed this weekend at Sewanee's Indoor Invitational.  Many improved marks from this year and bettered marks from all of last year as well.  Sophomore Sandy Henin had a great day by placing 1st in the 800 with a time of 2:25.31, 3rd in the pole vault going 9' 6.25", and 6th in the high jump leaping 4' 8.75".  Molly Buck, another sophomore, finished 1st in the 55 hurdles with her best time in 8.78 and also jumping 16' 6" in the long jump, placing 6th. 

Other standouts include Julia Goss who came in 2nd in the 200 with a time of 27.28.  She also long jumped 17' .75" placing 5th.  She also placed 5th in the 55 meters with her best time of 7.75.  Jessie Ormand had a breakout day as well.  She came in 3rd in the 55 hurdles (8.93) and 3rd in the triple jump (34' 6.75"). 

Alanna Topps had a good time in the 55 hurdles with 9.14 seconds and also in the 200 meters going 28.76.  Kyla Graham ran the 55 in 7.82 and the 200 meter in 28.87.
