Rhodes College Athletics

As in previous years, the Rhodes College Invitational will be run jointly with the Frank Horton Invitational High School Meet. The Rhodes Invitational (in its 20th year) and the Frank Horton Meet (sponsored by Christian Brothers High School and in its 21st year) have been held on the same date each year, but in different areas of Plough Park. Bringing the two events together (over 600 athletes in 5 races) on the newly designed and spectator friendly course will provide a great opportunity for athletes, coaches, and parents to experience cross country in the unique atmosphere of a large competitive meet.

COURSE:
Plough Park, located off Walnut Grove Road, between I-240 and Germantown Rd. Course is on the north side of the park near the Mullins Station Road entrance. Mostly grass with rolling hills. Some dirt trails.

TIME:
7:30 a.m. - Frank Horton Invitational High School JV Race (combined) - 5k
8:10 a.m. - Frank Horton Invitational High School Girls Race - 5k
8:50 a.m. - Frank Horton Invitational High School Boys Race - 5k
9:30 a.m. - Rhodes College Invitational Women's Race - 5k
10:10 a.m. - Rhodes College Invitational Men's Race - 8k

ENTRIES (Rhodes Invitational Meet):
Due by noon, Monday, September 21st.
E-mail entries to: horwitzj@rhodes.edu. No fax entries.
No unattached athletes
Entry fee is $50 per team ($100 for both) or $10 per individual.

AWARDS (college races):
Team - T-shirts to members of winning team (7 per team)
Individuals - T-shirts to top ten finishers

FACILITIES:
Restrooms only at race site.

TRAINERS:
Rhodes Athletic Trainers will be available at the course.

TIMING:  Chip technology will be utilized as the primary timing and scoring system for this meet.

RETURN OF CHIPS:  There will be a $30 per chip fee accessed for each chip not returned.   Results will also be available at this location following the return of your chips.

RESULTS:
Meet results will be posted at the course following each race. Complete results will be available on the Rhodes Athletic website at www.rhodeslynx.com
