The Rhodes Lynx were edged out by their Division II opponent, Henderson State, on Saturday. The Lynx provided intense competition for the Red Wave that nearly overturned the outcome. Junior Captain Drew Wagstaff dominated his competition in the 500 Freestyle with a time of 5:01.56, a full 16 seconds ahead of the second place finisher. On the women's side, Sophomore Gianna Salvucci made a statement with her win the 200 Freestyle with a time of 2:02.75, edging out Sari Ozden, of the Red Wave, by more than four seconds. The Lynx Cats endured a tough home meet this past Saturday, but are intent on claiming a home victory next Saturday, as the Lynx will take on Hendrix College and Berry College. The meet will be held at the Bartlett Rec Center once again at 1:00 P.M.
