The men's team traveled to Terre Haute, IN this past weekend to take on some of the top teams in the Midwest at the Gibson Family Collegiate Cross Country Invitational. The race took place at the LaVern Gibson Cross Country Course which is the home of the Division I NCAA National Championships. The Lynx placed 7th within the College Division which was made up of Division III competition. In the race, the men's team faced off against opponents from all three of the NCAA divisions.

Cody Beatty again led the way for the Lynx within the race. This time it was
Chris Moore's turn to cross the finish line first as he finished in 11th place with a time of 26:35. Beatty ran most of the race with Moore, but fell back in the final mile to finish in 26th place with at time of 26:56. Rounding out the top seven for the Lynx were freshman
Matt Grisham in a time of 27:26, junior
Robert McMillan in 27:41, freshman Matt Miller in 27:44, sophomore
Evan Nelsen in 27:45, and senior
Colin Johnson in 28:06.
Sadly the men's team will not be participating at the Mississippi College Invitational because of the unsatisfactory condition of the course due to rain. The next meet for the men will be the SCAC Conference Championships held in Atlanta, GA on October 31st. Please come support our Lynx as they look to claim the conference title. Go Lynx!
