Women's Soccer Repeats as NSCAA Team Academic Award Winner

The Rhodes women's soccer team was recognized as a 2008 Team Academic Award winner by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) for the 4th year in a row. Rhodes posted a 3.36 team GPA for the 2007-2008 academic year to earn the award.

A total of 363 soccer teams (103 men, 260 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2007-08 academic year.   Rhodes is one of only  59 schools that had both their men's and women's programs recognized. The Rhodes women have won the award 7 times since it's inception.

Sharwil Bell
Women's Basketball
As the co-captain of the 2011-2012 squad, Sharwil has continued to dominate on the hard-court for the Lady Lynx.  On December 29th, she became the 13th player in school history to surpass the 1,000 point mark, averaging 16.6 points per game throughout her career.  Her accolades for this season include d3hoops.com preseason All-American, SCAC Player of the Week (12/19- 1/2), and SCAC Character and Community Athlete of the Week (12/25-1/1). 
Andrew Galow
Men's Basketball
Currently leading the Lynx in scoring for the 2011-2012 season, Galow averages 15.3 points per game and has helped the team to their current record of 12-6.  Andrew also boasts some impressive stats; currently leading the team in scoring, assists, steals, and defensive rebounds.  Earning conference recognition, Galow was named the SCAC Player of the Week for 11/28-5/5.
