The Lynx women placed third as a team at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Cross Country Championships. As they have been all year, the women's team was led by
Taylor Stephens who captured her first SCAC Cross Country individual title. She ran a 21:30 over 6,000m to beat a very good field of collegiate runners. Placing 7th and also receiving All-Conference recognition was
Cybil Covic. The women's team scored 87 points with
Sandy Henin placing 23rd,
Caroline Webster placing 24th, and
Melissa DeFabrizio placing 32nd overall.
Depauw University won the team title scoring 49 points followed by Trinity Univeristy with 53 points. The women's team will race next at the South/Southeast Regional Championships in Seguin, TX on November 15th.
