Hanover College is the site of the NCAA Championships this year and the men got a first hand look at the course. The race was filled with teams from all over the nation. The race included teams ranked in the Division III Cross Country Polls, and regional opponents Centre College, UT-Tyler, and Christopher Newport.
The top finishers for the men were
Steele French (SR) in 27:04,
Chris Moore (SO) in 27:13,
Lucas Warth (SR) in 27:37,
Josh Deaton (SO) in 27:37, and
Colin Johnson (JR) in 27:53. The men finished 13th out of 20 teams. Running on the course was a great experience for the guys as they got a taste of tough competition and now know the lay of the land for the championship meet.
The men's team will continue the season on October 18th when they travel to Oshkosh, WI to run in the UW-Oshkosh Invitational.
