  Senior, Jonathon Moreno has been selected to the 2010 Men's All-SCAC Tennis Team.  Jonathon has held the #1 position since his sophomore year and was named to the ALL Conference in 2008 and 2009.  Senior, Tyler Snedden and sophomore, Morgan Slevin were named Honorable Mention.

2.22.10 | Men's Tennis
Despite strong doubles play, the men's tennis team lost to the University of Memphis 9-0 in exhibition play.  The number #1 team (Grayson Lucas and Ryley Erhardt) and the #3 doubles team (Tyler Snedden and Colin Perry) lost 8-4.  The #2 team (Jonathon Moreno and Brad Pennington and the #4 doubles team (Morgan Slevin and Sanders Phelps lost 8-5. Memphis proved much stronger in singles. Sweeping all eight matches, the Lynx were competitive in every match but could not match the Tigers in speed and quickness.

With the November rankings, the Rhodes Men's Tennis Team received a #13 ranking in the Atlantic South Region.  Freshmen, Colin Perry received a ranking of #22 in singles.  Perry and his doubles partner, senior Tyler Snedden are ranked #10 in the region.  Rhodes gained another doubles team ranking with sophomore, Morgan Slevin and freshmen, Sanders Phelps breaking in at #14.  Congratulations to the men's tennis team on another outstanding fall season.

9.22.09 | Men's Tennis
This weekend, the Rhodes Men’s Tennis Team travels to Sewanee for the ITA South Regional.  An individual and doubles tournament, the men will have 9 singles players and 4 doubles teams in the draw.  Led by seniors, Jonathon Moreno and Tyler Snedden the men hope to continue their success in the 2009-2010 season.  Freshmen, Sanders Phelps and Colin Perry will experience their first ITA Tournament.  Both players have made the traveling team, and will provide additional depth to a relatively young team.  Completing the traveling team are, sophomores, Taylor Simmons, Brad Pennington, Morgan Slevin, Kevin Duffy, and John Alexander.

Chris Conkell
Baseball
The Student Athlete Advisory Committee has named junior Chris Conkell as the Student Athlete of the Month for April.
 
The Lynx starting catcher managed a .458 batting average (22/48), 12 RBIs and 10 runs scored during the month of April. Durning this time, Conkell harnessed a 13 game hitting streak, hitting safely in every game for the month.
 
He was also named to the SCAC All-Tournament team after his performance in the conference tournament. His batting average of .412, 5 RBIs and 5 runs scored in the tournament led him to be one of three players who were unanimous selections to the team.
Stephanie Mingos
Women's Golf
The Student Athlete Advisory Committee has named junior Stephanie Mingos as the Student Athlete of the Month for April.
 
In the last month, Mingos put together an impressive campaign, winning three of her last four tournaments.  Her most recent victory came at the SCAC Championships, where Mingos captured Rhodes' first SCAC individual title since 2002, winning by a 6 stroke deficit over several of the nation's top players.
 
Her three day total of 14 over par is a new SCAC record, topping the previous mark of 17 over par by three-time SCAC champion Marisa Mauldin of Southwestern. Mingos' performance earned her first team All-SCAC and SCAC Player of the Year honors.

Rhodes College
